:/ Tetras.. how many per gallon? My 15 gallon has 12 Tetras in, 6 Glowlight and 6 Black Neon. So right now it is about 1.15 gallons per fish. I am interested in getting 6 Blue Neon Tetras to make a schoal (sp?).

Also, I notice they like to take up the middle bottom of my tank. Does gallons per fish matter or does the amount of volume they take up matter more?

Also, I am interested in getting a large mango root type decoration to replace my currently unused decoration. It is a big rock with a cave entrance, my fish don’t use it. Will tetras use the root ball type thing?

Also, a question on QT tanks. If I want to put my tetras in it before I put them in my main tank. How long should they been in there. How long should the tank be set up? And how do I treat them while they are in QT?

about fish per gallon, the general rule is one inch of fish to one gallon, but there is a more accurate formula to do with surface area which im not sure of. perhaps someone else can add that

inch per gallon? "Can a 10 inch oscar swim in a 10 gallon tank?" :D

Thats one inch of adult size fish per gallon (only applies to slim bodied fish under 3 inches) ocsars being cichlids need to set up territorys so a 10 incher in a 10 gal is just riduculous.

Emma
