Tetraplant Complete Substrate

hi, i am going to setup a planted tank with co2 and ferts but was woundering if this My link is ok to put under sand ?
there is so much choice ,im not sure what to buy, can any one recommend the best substrate to go under sand witch will benefit the plants and not come through the sand and look messey.

I'd go for pure clay cat litter instead personally, it's the same stuff more or less.
