Even my normally shy Khulis came out to eat the stuff almost before it hit the bottom of the tank and they don't come out for anything immediately, even bloodworms.

I had to buy those over my usual Tetramin Variety Wafers as Walmart stopped selling them and PetCo wants too much money for them. These tablets don't have a particularly strong odor or look all that different than the wafers except more greenish but the fish took to them as soon as I had them in the water like sharks smelling blood.

My Black Neons, ever the pigs of the tank, went nipping at them more than the bloodworm distraction I gave them. My cories are currently in their most active feeding state I can recall seeing them in. The snails are all out for them too. And my Clown Loaches, Red Tailed Black Shark and even my "nothing on the substrate is good enough for me" 3 Spot Gourami were picking over the tablets eagerly.

What did they lace them with? Fish nip?

I have been using those for my corys and they love it too...the other fish usually have their go at it too. It turns top feeders into bottom feeders...funny

I've never had my top and middle feeders go so nuts for bottom feeder food before. which was surprising with these.

Hi Teelie :)

They sound interesting. What are the main ingredients, and what is the protien content? :dunno:

Far too many ingredients to name but the main ones appear to be dried skim milk, fish meal, ground brown rice, dried yeast, potato protein, algae meal and shrimp meal to name a few.

The protein is a minimum 43% crude protein, 5% crude fat and 1.5% crude fiber.

Yes...I have had the tropical tablets before and all fish seemed to love them. I was in Wal-Mart when they were discontinuing the Variety Wafers , there was a big display with a couple hundred packages on it that they had marked down for clearance, so I bought about 20 packages. Got them home and...guess what...the fish don't like them nearly as well as the tropical tablets :dunno:

I dunno about him going nuts for it, but Tabimin's been a staple for my pleco most of his life. I'd tried the Variety tabs last yr (new to me), but he didn't seem to go for 'em. I am sorry Tetra discontinued Plecomin, tho luckily I found some alternatives.

Sell it on ebay as the miracle fish food! I was looking for some today, but settled for variety flakes or something.
