I've got some nice hikari pelets for my cichlids, but would it be fine to alternate their diet with some tetra min flakes also? I know there are 'special' cichlid flakes made for them, but the tetra flakes should be fine right?

Feeding different dry foods isnt (in my opinion) a way of varying a fishes diet.

Get down to you local food store and buy some prawn, luttuce, peas. Then goto your local fish shop and buy some bloodworm, beef heart etc then drop by your pet store and pick up some crickets and meals worms. Then once back home go into your garden and dig up some nice juicy worms :good:

Now that is a nice diet for any fish cichlid or non cichlid.

Yes I already have bloodworms and they had a good bloodworm breakfast lol. I also will go back in the woods and get some worms. I was just making sure that the tetra min flakes were fine, as they arn't specifically made for cichlids.
