i was just over at my friends house and in his goldfish tank he had 3 serpae tetras. I was surprised because they are healthy and big. Does anyone know if this is a species that can tolerate cold water or is he torturing it?
as far as i know the can tollerate a range of 75 to 82°F (24-28°C)
that said, goldfish have toxins in their slime coat the are lethal to most tropical fish, so the two should never be kept together.
