Tetra Whisper Internal Filter W/ Bioscrubber

I was wondering if anyone has any review about this filter? I am sort of new to fish keeping so I really don't know what is best. But I have a ten gallon fish tank and I was wondering if I should upgrade to a better filter. I was originally planning to get a hang on back power filter but since my tank is on a bookshelf it couldn't fit. Any suggestions/reviews about this filter. I do have to clean it often because it does get dirty.

Depends on the bioload. I have one in a ten gallon, with a single betta. Works well, but I removed the bioscrubber and cartridge, and used mature sponge a little ceramic and a.layer of floss.
It's quiet, filters well, but is big and ugly in the tank.
