Is the Tetra test 5 in 1 dip strip water testing kit any good?

wondered if any1 knew how accurate it is

not very, liquid tests are much better than dip strips.

if your after a decent test kit i recommend the API Fresh Water Master Test Kit

I've noticed that the API kit doesnt test hardness, is this important?

sort of........... for your average basic community set up not really, for some slightly more specialist areas of the hobby it's crucial.

if your just after a basic test kit then the API one has everything you need

I have both the 5 in 1 and API Master Test Kit and I would recommend you pay the extra and buy the API kit instead.
The 5 in 1's ok, but some of the results are quite hard to read such as the Nitrite and Nitrate. Plus it doesn't have an Ammonia test.

I agree, I have both too and the API Test is much easier.

I have the APi and its very good. Only costs a few more pounds so worth it.
