Tetra Sick?

I have 5 neons, 2 of which (a 3rd is showing similar signs) are experiencing something very odd, its almost like they have a build up of gas in their rear end. their back end points up and they float upwards
They fight it, swimming down in jerky movements..
i am quite worried
they arent showing any other unusual signs.
Any ideas

Just a few questions hun

are all these fish in the 10 gallon tank?
how long has it been set up as neons are finicky fish and prefer a mature aquarium (3 months post cycle)
was the tank fully cycled
what are the water results for the tank - ammonia,nitrite,nitrate and ph

how often do you do water changes?
what is the temp if the tank?

are the fish eating well
do they look thin or bloated
what are there poo's like - are they stringy or normal?

Lol, Sorry i have wasted your time! It turns out I was feeding them a bit to much, im cutting down on the amount of food and their fine now.

when fish eat flake at the surface they often take in air with the food. This can cause them to float after they have been fed. Usually once they have passed the air (fish farts) they swim around normally again.

dont worry its never a waste of time , if you are worried about your fish , to prevent them getting wind again feed them sinking wafers a few meals a week
they eat them fine all my fish love to have a spirulina wafer once a week
