I just need to know tetras that can be kept in pairs...
i know that some clever guys will post tetras should be kept in groups of 6....I know but there are certain tetras that can be kept in pairs i know of
Congo tetras, bleeding heart tetra

can you think of any other tetras or fish similar to tetras that can be kept in pairs.

not gouramis  please

All tetras should be kept in shoals; even Congos and bleeding hearts ;)

They will, of course, survive kept in pairs (well, mostly, and apart form potential nipping; very many tetras are nippy in inadequately sized groups), but you won't see them at their best, colour-wise and they won't exhibit their natural behaviours.

A lot of the cichlid family do well in pairs, dwarf cichlids are suitable for a lot of tanks.

All tetras can be kepts as pairs :)

They just wont be happy fish.
