okay this stuff says it has trace elements and stabilize ph and kh. Does it work? i bought it amonth ago and just found it. is it good for plants like fertilzer or should i not use it?. it says it reduces nitrates so i thought it would slow the biological system, or the bacteria that does the breakin down of nitrates.

nitrate with an 'A'

if ya want a pic leme no

I have a small bottle of it that I got as a free sample. Tetra says it reduces the need for water changes by removing nitrate and phosphate. So its not a fertlizer, you wont be needing it with a planted tank. It may be usefull in a fish only system.

I've used this a couple times before.

It's not a *terrible* product. By locking up nitrates and phosphates, it can do nice things for a fish-only aquarium, by keeping algae down. The draw backs is that it's relatively pricey... and you always need to do water changes. Your fish will thank you for it. :)

Obviously, locking up nutrients that plants *need*, is not at all good for a planted tank. :)

Just do a water change. They're much better.

No, it wouldn't.

All in all, I wouldn't use it. Added to the fact that it gets rid of Nitrate which you plants want.
