Tetra Easy Balance....

I've been using it for about a month now, I read about it in PFK magazine. I haven't changed my water and it's never looked clearer. You have to put the required dose in your tank every week. This is according to the manufactureres instructions.
I should imagine you guys with huge tanks will use a bottle a month, I bet tetra are rubbing their hands. I put 4 capfuls a week in my 130L tank.

I ve been using Easy Balance for about 6 weeks now.
Since I started Using I have Not had any fish deaths from the tank.
Its the only thing that has worked for me.
I have seen a marked improvement in the Water and the fish.
Don't Ask Me what the parameters Are - Never Done that. Always Used the water and fish signs to guide how its going.

Not gonna Stop using Easy balance, its working for my tank and the Fish Look laot healthier.

I have over 1000ltrs to treat, it would cost me a fortune, dont think I'll bother with the experiment, even if it did workn I couldnt afford to use it!

There are some older threads on this stuff, and as all my preivous replies, in general I remain very skeptical. CFC is right on about pollution removal, and even then this product does not remove to low levels of toxins that are in our air and water. Stuff like paint fumes, and cigarette smoke, and carpet fumes, and cleaner fumes, and so on. We just have to open a window to freshen our environment, but if this stuff gets in the tank it will be at small levels, but long-term exposure even to low levels can cause chronic problems. Partial water changes on a regular schedule help reduce these levels. One every six months might let the levels of this stuff build up too much.

Then, take a look at this old thread: http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=84327&hl=, there was a member that set up some guppy tanks. One was a control with normal water changes, and one used this Easy Balance stuff. The guppy tank with Easy Balance in it did not produce any fry in several months. And, let's face it, if guppys aren't producing fry, they are clearly not happy.

There are lots of products out there today with many claims, but how ever did fishkeepers do this stuff before these great new chemicals came along?!? I always try to go back to the basics -- the old timey fishkeepers may not have known exactly what species of bacteria was growing in their filters, but they know how to keep their fish alive and thriving -- without all the buckets of chemicals you see at the LFSs now.

hmmm, while regular water changes do take time, I use it as a period where I do a thourough examinatoin of the status of the tank.

I.e. checking fish health (in more detail than my checks at feeding time), checking filter flow, algae levels, etc.

I also find dong all this once a week therapeutic, and stress relieving. I think I'll just keep up with the water changes.
