It is not generally well regarded. I used it for a couple of weeks and my PH didn't move a jot, which gives some indication that not much CO2 was diffusing.
I swapped to the Nutrafin kit with a DIY mix and my PH dropped to 7.2 from almost 8, which gives some indication that CO2 was diffusing into the water. I now use 2 Nutrafins (although with my birthday coming up perhaps I'll get a pressurised system!).
Since they are roughly the same price, with the ongoing cost of the Nutrafin being cheaper, I'd go for the Nutrafin (or do it yourself from scratch of course).

I would go with the nutrafin, its tried and tested by many and works well on small tanks.
