Testing Ammonia And Nitrite

how do I test them when Methalyne blue has been added? as it changes the water colour.... and changes the end results colour....

I have no idea. I guess just hope for the best until you've been able to do enough water changes to return it back to normal color. I had that same problem when I had to medicate my tank, the water turned purple, and I couldn't test for a couple of weeks.

its simple, you just cant.

I would run a bucket of water from the tap and add the Methalyne blue to it. Then test to see what colors you get on a sample that you know hae no ammonia or nitrite. This only works if your tap water has none present though.
