just a quick one!
my tank has been going now since feb and my water is amo- 0 nitrite-0 nitrate-5.my qusetion is im using the liquid test-nutrafin and would like to no if anyone else has used it and how realiable it is,they seem to good to be true!! have followed instructions to the letter!!

did you cycle your tank first?

if so then those results should be expected

well do you know what you want, are the fish compatitable and will it make you over stocked?

also add a few fish at a time because there will only be enough bacteria in your filter to cope with your current stock. so when you add more your filter needs to produce more bacteria. by adding only 2 or 3 at a time it means the filter will be able to cope and bacteria can reproduce to cope with the new stock

i would add 2 fish every week until you are fully stocked

my tank is 97 litres.not really sure yet, have got 5 guppies,2 bn catfish,and 2 usd catfish. i was going to start with 2 more usd catfish as i know they like to be kept with 4 or more and really like them!
i will sadly be moving on from guppies shortly to try my hand a somthing differtent,really like cichilds and has been sugested on here before i could get a couple of dwarfs (once the guppies are rehomed of course!) but not just yet i have got attached to my guppies!!
whatever goes in there must be compatible with the catfish, open to suggestions??

yes but i thought because the tank was set up since february, then the bacteria will of died off to cope with the current load

i wouldnt add a german blue ram at this stage, the tank isnt ready, OP...have you kept your tank ticking over with ammonia? and is their something already in it? when did you cycle complete?

the tank has been running with my old filter since feb,have just taken it out a week ago to see if new filter is coping alone seems to be ok so far, tank stock is as above!

i do like the blue rams but agree the tank isnt ready yet,i also have a problem with my ph which is really high,so wanna get that sorted first too!
also need fish that are ok in hard water!! dont really wanna strt messing around with the water chemistry any more then i have too!
