Test Result Help

Had my tank for a couple of months now and have a few fish and couple of shrimp in it. Not had any issues or anything really but was advised on here to buy a water test kit.
 
I have done all the tests that it came with but I dont understand if they are good or bad so was hoping one of you guys/gals could point me in the right direction.
 
PH = 7.6
Ammonia = 0 PPM
Nitrite = 0 PPM
Nitrate = 5.0 PPM

Those results look good. c: Ammonia and nitrite are perfect at 0, and nitrate isn't toxic until over 40 ppm.

 keep up the good work.
 
Shrimps and snails can be good as they are the first to alert us to water problems. If the inverts are trying to get out of the tank something isn't right. If they are happy and healthy its generally all good
