My sister has 2 female mollies in a 7 gallon tank. One of the mollies, Gumbee (Gumbey?) won't let the other molly, Pokey, to the top of tank. Whenever we feed them we have to make sure to make some food float down to Pokey, poor thing :-( . Pokey is also pregnant (we think), if that has anything to do with it. Do you think I should get my sister to get them a boyfriend for them to share. I think you're supposed have 2 females to each male, so would it be good if I got my sister to go the fish store and get 1 male molly?

Since no one has answered this ill try giveing it some sort of answer. You probaly have to give the two time in getting used to each other is he leaving the female up to the food at all?? ;)

hello.

This topic has come up more than once, it seems that mollies can be quite the bully.

I had a female that killed two of my others..

The answer i found was to put her in with some more robust and less timid tankmates, my molly did fine with 7 tiger barbs and 2 rainbow fish to keep her in line. If its not possible to do this however, you can try taking her out of the tank, rearranging, giving the other fish time to get used to the tank, then put her back into it. This often means that other fish will have established their territories and she will not be anle to fight them so easily?

Have you tried adding a male to keep her company?
