I am restarting my tank so having a go with fishless cycling. Have read the article etc etc and think am under control.
My only question is do you have to do it at teh temperature you intend to have the tank?
Basically I am cold water just now and may go tropical if feeling brave. If I cycle it at room temp then go tropical, will the increase in temp kill al the bacteria nad uncycle the tank?
Just want to know if I need to make a decision now or if I can wait 6 weeks until its cycled.
Thanks.

Oh I see, I actually meant could I cycle the tank at room temperature, and then if I decided to go tropical buy a heater and just heat up the tank and go.
I dont have a heater just now and if I stick with coldwater there doesnt seem much point in buying one.
But if you can mess about with the temperature like this I take it it must be fine, cheers.
