temp home for fish?

where can rehome my fish for a short time while i addsome extra gravel and and decor to my tank?

im gonna drain the water out and keep all the benificial bacteria wet and have moving water on it

could I use a clean bucket?

i dont have another tank... i can't afford one

Hi ad_smith

You can use a clean bucket or even a big cooking pot. Just be certain that it is very clean with no residue of soap, detergent or anything else in it.

When you add more gravel, remember that the beneficial bacteria lives in the top 1/2 to 3/4 inch of gravel, so if you are adding very much try to have the new on the bottom and the old on top when you are done.
