Tattoed Bb Molly

I went to the lfs the other day and they were selling a "tattoed" Baloon Belly in a seperate tank for about $6. Do these mollys ever have pink stripes because this one did? I want to know if they dyed it somehow because that can kill the fish which would of course be very bad.

these fish are actually injected with ink, i.e. tattooed, its disgusting i personally would complain and never use that lfs again

Yeah, I don't plan on going back there. It's a small locally owned shop here in town so I checked it out and saw that poor fish there. I just wanted some opinions because pink stripes on a white molly seemed unnatural.
