Ok so it is over populated, i just wonder what i should keep in and out, ive kinda figured out the mollies have to go but no one wants to take em.

So my tank 55gal.

1x Bala
6x Cory's
7x Ghost Shrimp (they had babies multiplied)
4x Guppies
1x Tiger Plec
1x Rubbernose Plec
1x Yellow tetra
1x Snail
7x (not sure what they are, there red, have and have 2 black stripes, one right before the head another near the tail less then an inch in size)

You see i went on abit of a noob spree when i got my tank, i cycled it and what not but now i fear i over populated. Furthermore i know that mollies need brackish water and im currently trying to re-located them somehwere, looking for someone who wants em.

Mainly all my fish in the tank are pretty small, infact only the bala and the cory's either exceed or are an inch in length so im really not sure.

If anyone can enlighten me on my situation im happy to hear it, im pretty sure i screwed up somewhere, the part im happy about is i havent managed to kill any yet and i work my ass off to keep there home clean so yuuup.

Water levels are as follows:

Ph:7.0-7.5
Ammonia:0
Nitrites:0
Nitrates:10
Water Temp: 78-80

Basically any tips, for example, yes its over populated no its not or GET THAT GODFORSAKEN FISH OUT OF THERE NOW NOW NOW AHHHH! You get the picture, thanks guys and cheers.

I dont think it is, although the bala needs to be in a group - and they get to 12", so that's one that should really be returned, obviously you're onto the mollies already - if you ask me, it sounds fine. Although it depends on whether your red and black fish are tiger barbs or something a bit bigger like clown loaches ;)

Edited to add - I'd get the yellow tetra a few friends though, as they also need to shoal ;)

Yeah, I went back to enquire about getting some mroe balas but they said he'll do fine alone and sometimes they can be agressive in groups so i dont know what thats all about. The yellow tetra seems to be shoaling with the tiger bars, you were bang on about that happy their identified.

How big of a tank would the Bala need when hes full size, or a shoal of like 3 maybe of them if thats enough. Since i knew they grow big before i got him, me and my brother are saving up money to by a 300gal tank in about a year or so.
