Tanks From Hell

Hello! I've just come back from a local pub/bar in Chester called Off The Wall. They have a 125 Litre fish tank behind the bar with a Jagermeister logo plastered on it with the following fish in it:

3 x Large Angel Fish
3 x Large Sharks (not sure what type, silver with large heads)
3 x Red Tail Sharks
1 x Zebra Danio
1 x Common Pleco
1 x Betta

Disgusting. All the Angel fish were nipping each other and the Sharks were always chasing each other. To think that such a tank exists. If that was an ill treated dog I knew about I could call the RSPCA, but with fish... what can I do!? sigh

It's clear that the tank and its contents are there simply as an ornament.

I wouldn't jump to conclusions yet, they're more than likely clueless when it comes to keeping fish.

It's clear that the tank and its contents are there simply as an ornament. This is a busy bar/club with loud music or football on. I get the impression from the staff that they couldnt give two ***** about the fish

I Totaly agree. Confront the manager with a baseball bat and tell him upfront YOUR KEEPING FISH wrong then if he says continue and you finish your talk Go play Baseball with him

If it goes Down wrongly you know what to do with the bat

anyway, I agree with above, have a qord with the owner, offer your help and advice, they'll apreciate a way to get a better looking more peaceful tank

the only public aquarium i know of where i live is one in a casino, and apparently, its impressive (i havent seen it, im underage)

i cannot for the life of me remember what the place was called or where it was but it was a pub that had a smirnoff ice ice bucket with water in and 2 fantail goldies in it!
