I've been having a little trouble with my betta. Only now realising that he was having a lack of sunlight.

I have decided to move it out of it's 13 litre tank and put it in my 60 litre tank.
~Do you think the male betta would live happily along 2 kuhli loaches?

Watched them come face to face. Nothing happened, which can only be good.

I have another question about the females of the kind.
~Now I know these are meant to be kept in groups of 5-7. But can they be kept on their own?
If they can't be kept alone how many would you suggest and how mcuh space they would need?

Thanks.

yes females can be kept alone, sometimes even if you have a tank full of girls, you get one really mean b**ch who has to be taken out and kept alone, and they are fine.

a lone female takes up the same space as a lone male, corys I have heard are also good tank mates, from my own experence so far my full grown girl bettas can cohabit with my platys and guppys, but not the very young girls I have, the platys are just too pushy till the girl bettas come into their own.
