I have a corner tank that I think is about 44 gallons. It was given to me by my MIL so I'm not positive about that, could be larger. I would like to have several Angelfish as the main fish in the tank, but was looking for suggestions on types of fish and numbers. The tank is a corner tank, (not a bowfront) with three panels of glass in the front that are 13" across. The two sides are 22.5", and the height is 25". Suggestions on approximate volume would be helpful as well.

Thanks!

I don't understand... if it was a corner tank the front face would be longer than the 2 sides as it should be a 90degree angle...

Added together they equal 39, but there are three panes of glass that make up the front "bow". Wish I could draw you a picture. Sorta like a baseball field, but with more sides ;)

AHHHHH so its 2 sides and 3 front!

well thats an odd shape to try and work out... Ill leave that to a maths major ;P

You could have one Angelfish in that tank, maybe two but that would be pushing it.

assuming that your middle front panel is at an angle of 135 degrees to your other panels your tank will hold 49.903 US gallons(before decoration and gravel etc. is acounted for).. sorry i love a good maths question :D though as for your question about friends for angels i have no idea- sorry

well at least you know you take is a bit bigger than 44 gallons after all :)

You could easily have a pair in that tank as a centerpiece, and stock around that. A pair isn't just any two angels tossed together. Start with 6 juvies, wait for them to grow & a pair to form. Return the remainder for store credit, any decent shop will be agreeable with this if you tell them your plan from the beginning.
