Welp, Here goes, nothing better than submitting yourself to others' opinions :D.

I want some help choosing some tank-mates for a few of my tanks, and I figured I would ask everyone, and get their opinions on the matter... If multiple listed tankmates would be suitable, please tell me. Be sure to include the reasons why please. I'm going to list off my tanks I want mates for, and reasons why I think said mates would be good, tell me if I'm wrong or right in thinking what I do. Getting correct, concise information and reasons ( both personal and practical ) for my precise situations would be ideal. ( Not to mention the whole point of this thread ) :)

Thanks in advance to everyone and anyone who helps out!

10gal Sorority: Moderately planted, 3WPG; gravel

Current Stock:
~ 3x ( 5-6x When fully stocked ) Female Betta
~ 4x Oto

  1. More otos - fun little guys to watch, I give the tank direct sunlight during the weekend and early mornings to promote algae growth for them. Only have a few in there, and can always add more and up my supplemental feeding.
  2. Bristle nose plec - I like the look of these guys, and the bonus of cleaning the tank is great. However, if I got one, wouldn't it out compete the otos for food?
  3. Some sort of cory - What 10 gal is complete without a few corys? Aside from pygmy and panda cory, what would be a few suitable for my tank? It's very difficult to get a hold of any [pygmy/panda] where I'm from, and my LFSs can not order any in for me.
  4. ADF - cool looking critters, but I cannot easily obtain live foods...So this may pose a problem.
  5. other - ( Snails can be included but again I have limited selection.)

5gal hex: Mod. planted, 3WPG; Sand

Current Stock:
~ 1x Male betta
~ 2x Oto

  1. More otos - Could I squeeze in 2-3 more otos? (Direct sunlight is given in morning/weekends)
  2. Corys - If I can get a hold of any pygmy or panda corys, would they be fine? Are there any other breeds of cory that would be suitable?
  3. Other

5gal bowfront: (WIP: will be sparesly - mod. planted, 3WPG ); gravel { In this tank, I plan on having lots of driftwood, with very-very lowlight plants I.E. anubias, marimo, java fern/moss }

Current Stock:
~ 1x male betta

  1. Otos - Otos!
  2. Cory - Corys!
  3. BN Plec - If I opt out for the otos, and maybe even the corys, would a BN plec be fine in this tank?
  4. Other
