Tank

no, do not do a marine conversion, the live rock they send is fake and takes ages to seed. you will strugle with proper maintenence , i for one converted a marine biorb and it was crap, i have now switched to a rectangular tank instead, it looks better, its easier to maintain.

i seriously suggest you try freshwater fish before diving into marines

Can you stock saltwater fish in a biorb?

Oh gawd, this is where i have to admit to knowing someone who keeps a pair of juvie clowns in a biorb - he is close to relenting and buying a bigger tank :good:

But to be honest, why oh why would you want to

I believe Biorb make a kit for turning the tank (if you can call it a tank) into a marine environment but suspect it is just a way to make money, so the answer is yes!

All you would need is sand and some lr and of course the salty stuff, plus a powerhead - you would have to do big water changes, often and you couldn't really keep that much in there nor keep corals with the stock lighting, so I would say go find yourself a real tank, there are many out there :good:

by the way :hi: to TFF

Ok thanks any good 20-30 gallon tanks that you would recommend

Or you could buy a 2nd hand plain 20-30g tank, buy a 2nd hand light, couple of new Tunze nanostream/Kroalia pumps and then get LR form a local reefer that's breaking down their tank...

All the best
