What do you guys recommend I have as a cover for my tank? The lighting I am getting sits above the tank and the hoods I currently have only have a small glass opening. Would buying sized plexi glass work (then make my own lids and holes for wires)? I want to slow evaporation and prevent my fish from escaping while not blocking beneficial light to my plants.

anything that wont harm your fish will be fine, and as long as it isnt too thick.
