Hi Guys,

I have got water in my tank, with all needed equipment such as filter and heater etc etc.....

Just a quick question what is the ideal temperature for an aquarium for tropical fish???? at the moment its at about 27.5..... but from what ive read around 26 is more suitable??

Any help is much appreciated!!

Thanks guys

Chad

my heater is set at 26, but don't know what is best, supose it depends on the fish you have or are thinking of getting

Yeah, i see what your saying....

But is there an average temparature that most tropical fish are happy with???

Ive turned my heater down but the water temp doesnt seem to want to drop.

25 or 26C is fine for most tropical fish. i have mine at 77F, or 25C.

Yes correct as a general rule, however if you want to breed or keep say Discus or Siamese Fighters or ......

Best to not generalize and instead study the needs of the animal you are keeping.
