Hi,

The temperature of my tank is getting too high, Ive got 2 thermometers in there just so i get an average reading and the temps are reading:

1 - 28 degrees C
2 - 30 degrees C

Ive totally unplugged the heater and havent got the light on. The weather and house are both warm which i cant really do anything about....

How should i sort out this problem - i dont want to cook my fish! :(

Cheers, Mike

Lift the filter out of the water abit so it is making lots of air bubbles in current and get a fan and turn it on near the tank, this should be able to lower temp a bit- you can also doa 20% water change to help things cool down a little but you don't want to cause too bigger drop in tank temp as this can stress the fish out  .

thanks for your help...

I've moved the filter just above the water level and its creating more air bubbles now.

Im also having pc problems and have got my fan cooling my pc down - yeah it does look as stupid as it sounds :D

Im going to do a water change and try and reduce the temperature a bit - what would be an ok drop in temp for the fish?

thanks, Mike
