i have a 3ft 175L (43 us gallon) tank and im wanting to get some cichlids. will 3 electric blues, 3 electric yellows and 3 red jewel cichlids work?

Not really i'm afraid - Electric blue is a common name for Sciaenochromis Fryeri which get way too big for a 3 foot tank. Electric Yellows (Labidochromis Caeruleus) are Mbuna and IMO should only be kept in 4 foot or larger tanks.

The Jewels are the only fish appropriate for your tank size but they are aggressive so choose your tank mates carefully if you decide to stock them. A mated pair would be better than 3 as you remove the risk of 2 pairing off and picking on the 3rd fish. :good:

You'd be on the min size with a 4 foot 55 gallon tank for mixing Haps and Peacocks but certainly possible. :good:

Lovely fish and they should be very happy in a 65 gal. :good:

The fish is a Pseudotropheus Demasoni - a stunning but highly aggressive Mbuna species and one of my favourites. :D
