Same old stocking question:
55Gallon
2 Sixty gallon filters
Rocks, sand, fake plants

6 Giant Danios
6 SAPs
6 Zebra loaches

^
Acceptable?
I was thinking about adding two more Danios if I had room.
No ammonia or nitrite, nitrates 20 to 40. Weekly 30% water change.
Thoughts?

I don't think puffers are community fish and so I wouldn't like the loaches' chances much...

SAPs are a bit more mellow than other puffers, and, from what I have researched, don't bother bottom dwellers to much. :) They are good with fast moving fish who don't have much fin, and the loaches will blend in with the sand, so that will also help! :)

SAP's wont bother any of the fish he has selected. Just feed them lots of snails to keep there teeth trimmed.

Already have a snail breeding tank up and running! :) Just got a load of ramshorns today!

Okay, how about if I changed it to 6 Red tailed zebra loaches instead? Would that work?

The stocking has changed once again!
8 Giant Danios
6 SAPs
4 Red tailed zebra loaches

Good? Bad? Thoughts? Suggestions?

I think the thing is, mixing puffers is something that most people shy away from, from my understanding it's very much trial and error. You may have better luck in the oddball forum?

I'm really just trying to figure out if the stocking is alright with my size tank. SAPs aren't community fish at all, but a lot nicer than other puffs and usually just nippy. The Danios are fast and I doubt they could be caught and from my understanding they don't really bother bottom dwellers. There is always a chance of them being a bit nippy, so that's why I'm going with fish that don't have much tail or crazy colors. If they do nip them to much, I have another tank they can go into.
