okay so i recently got my 29 gallon back up and running and i just got some fish tonight i am so excited i got 6 very nice looking guppys and 2 swordtails are there any other fish that i can put in my tank that will be okay the lady at the store said i couldent have mollys they would eat the guppys but i think shes crazy and i wasent about to argue with her ;)

Guppys are nice fish! :good:

There's a lot of compatibles tankmates, like platy (see your member name!).

You may add a bottom fish, like Kuhli Loach. It would be a great addition!

thanks i will get some platys once my tank settles a bit and what does a kuhli loach eat exactly
I believe they had some at the petstore i was just at.

I personally like Dwarf Platies. The look fatter because they're shorter in length.

Kuhli Loaches are carnivores. They prefer freeze-dried food like bloodworms and tubifex. Frozen and live foods are also good. I don't believe they eat snails like some other loaches. Shrimp and worms is the bulk of it. If you're looking at a bottom dweller, my favorites are Panda Cories. They don't get as large as some Corydora Catfish. They do best in groups of five.

Almost all fish will eat fry, but generally not adult fish. Mollies are good additions if you can keep very clean water.

Perhaps a centerpiece fish will do well. Maybe a Dwarf Gourami as a centerpiece fish. Plus it's a fish that moves up and down the whole level of the tank.
