Hey guys i have a 38gallon tank. Roughly how many fish will go in there?i have bumble bee, electric blue, electric yellow, red forest jewel, and a few others a total of 8 fish. Is it over crowded??? max fish size is 5cm

As far as the fish are concerned it's not overcrowded at all - these fish do well in very crowded conditions. The question of how many you can squeeze into the tank has a lot to do with the filtration on the tank and how diligent you are with maintenance.

I have the standard filteration that comes with the tank, i have heard they are very average (tank model ar 620t aquaone). I will see how it works out the first 2 weeks and see how i go. Thanks for the advise.

I have already kept this as a rule of thumb, inch of fish per gallon. Per say 125 gallon tank, could hold 30 fish 6 inches each, Not all fish will be right on that target, but its just a rule I always try to keep. Depending on the personality of eachfish, and if they can co inhabit with each other as well.

thats not accurate for africans, or pretty much any cichlid....
maybe for neons but...

like freddyk said, its a matter of your maintanence, and filtration
