Hi,had our tank for 4 days now.....still not tempted to add any fish yet.We do have 2 questions though if someone would be good enough to reply please.
1,our tank is 36Wx12Dx15H....would i be right in assuming this is a 20gallon tank?
2,my sister in law has a tank tha same dimensions as ours and has had it for approx.4 months now.She has 10 neon tetras,6 head and tail light tetras and 2 sunset dwarf gouramis.
She put the neon tetras in about 2 weeks ago and all was well at first(quite happily shoaling and feeding with each other, however, they now seem to be "having a go"at each other and tend to keep out of each others way.......is this normal?
Her "levels are all ok,and does regular water changes weekly (approx.20%)and feeds once a day with regular flake with the occasional dahnia as a treat.many thanks. :S

Do they hve anywhere to hide - plants, ornaments, etc. Even though they are shoaling fish, they still need to be able to "get away" from the others. They also create their own hierarchy - a pecking order - in which the strongest will eat first, find the best hiding spot, etc.

If you go to tropical chit chat, you'll find conversion tables are pinned at the beginning of the forum. They will help you find out how many gallons your tank is. Here is the link (I hope)
