Tank Size For Cherry Barbs?

Hi, I want to keep a group of 6 (2m 4f) Cherry Barbs with some Three Spot Rasbora's and Shrimp in my 35 litre (just over 9 gallon)
Now obviously i've researched on the interweb but I get different minimum tank sizes e.g. 5Gal, 10Gal, 20gal... In your opinion would they be suitable for a tank this size? If not, think of a more suitable replacement.

How many Three Spot Rasbora's currently?

Currently 9, 3 Amano Shrimp & a breeding colony of Cherry Shrimp.

pushing your luck a little really, but i wouldnt say impossible.

I know, it's on the line isn't it. Will be interesting to see what others views are. I'll post a picture of the tank and such later on tonight to give people a better view. Have to consider the Rasbora's only reach 1" fully grown. I wouldn't mind some more of them to be honest. I'm just thinking i'll want something with a little more presence in there for the future.
