tank size for angels

i know angels need a 18" tnak, but mine is the rather starnge hieght of 16.5" would that be enough at a pinch or will i have to miss out?

for a short term housing of a young angel, yes yours will be ok.
As long as you are ware that it will need re-housing as it gets bigger.

Many breeders keep pairs in a 20 tall, which is 16 3/4" tall. Standards seem to be ok in this size, veils need more height in my opinion.

Its recommended by the "experts" they have 18" at least but what is the difference like a little over an inch? THAT is if they reach FULL SIZE in your tank. I wouldn't worry much if it were me.
