im a bit worried over mky high ph level ive tried adding a bit of co2 to makethe water softer but it has not work should i be worried about a high ph level? my tap water is at 7ph so why is my tank at 7.6?? i have about 10 live plants in there a bit of hair algae but nothing to serious

its just i been reading alot lately and ive read most fish and plants prefer soft water under 7ph i just cant understand why the water in my tank would differ from the water from my tap
