Anything you'd add/change?

I'm never really happy with it, and always feel theres something I could change/tweak but I can never put my finger on it.
I'm thinking of getting a bag of black gravel to add to the tank to darken the gravel, as I dont really like it, but I dont want to change it to sand, its too big of a job and too much unnecessary stress for my fish.

I'm planning to add a bristlenose plec sometime in the future, so I'm thinking of adding a clean jar, covered with java moss to act as a cave.

Bored of the silk plants, so introduced a few real ones;

Never knew Cambomba was such a fast grower (it trebled in size, dominating the front of the tank) Moving it killed it.

Re-arranged the equipment, added a few more plants recently, took this today

What would you do next?

IMO, I would change the background to just black.

It will make your plants, and fish stand out a lot more.

Also, with a black background, it makes your tank look less "busy", which is more pleasing to the eyes.

Other than that, maybe add a couple smaller rocks in the foreground.

Just my 2 cents.

i wouldn`t change anything in there, looks really stunning.. very natural.

Looks very nice, very natural! When I re-scape my tanks in around 6 months im going to go for somthing like your tank. Not everyone will agree on any tank though tbh, as everyone has different taste's to tank layouts. but i guess aslong as its ok for you and the little fishies then its ok :D

Looks great Gaz, I would leave as is.

I know what you mean with the cabomba, I had loads, it grew like wildfire, so I cut it down, replanted the cuttings and the whole lot promptly went to mush and died on me.

looks good. will look even better when the plante grow a bit and fill in some of the spaces

thanks guys.

I guess I'll leave it as is then. One question - how do you change the background with the tank in place? sounds like a silly question but I can see it being a right kerfuffle, what with all the electrical wires/pipes etc to get under.

I think I might get a 5kg bag of gravel to darken it up abit, and maybe add a few more rocks.

stocking is;
10 x scissortail rasboras
6 x sterbai cory
4 x zebra danio
1 x pearl gourami

I did have 10 danio's to start, but they died off one by one.

I also had 2 gourami's (one male, one female) but they male died recently

i agree if it aint broke dont try and fix it. lovely lookin tank the valis curtain at the back is superb. id probably of kept the cambomba i love that plant. i am the same tho with my tank always thinking i need to tweak this move that etc. but if that was my tank i would leave it as is . very nice indeed

yeah If I'd have known it was such a fast grower when I got it, I would've put it at the back of the tank.
