Well, the tank is finally how I want it, minus a couple fish...

First, we've got the tank with no background at all:

Next we've got it with the black baground added:

And finally, because of some oxygen problems, with the new bubble wands!

What do yall think?

Looks really cool,do the fish ever take notice of the bubbles?

It's interesting... The plec doesn't like them, yet. He just swam into them and got freaked out. The two peacocks chase each other through the bubbles, which is kinda funny. The other fish just ignore it, but seem happy to have a nice tank full of water again :)

For those that don't know what happened, when I switched to the canister filter, nothing was breaking the surface of the water, and I had a major oxygen problem. I ended up lowering the water level so the output would break the surface, until I got these bubble wands in place.

Haha thats cool! When I had weather loaches they played in the bubbles all the time, it was pretty frustrating, because I could never see them properly!

The plec on the cucumber by the way, looks amazing!

Funny thing with the plec and cucumber... the cucumber came off the little ornament that was holding it down, and the plec was sucking on it in midwater! It would sometimes get free and float to the top, but he'd go get it, and then just suck on it in the middle of the tank, or upside down, or press it up against the glass. It's crazy! He's one hungry plec :)

all your eyes go to are the dang curtains of bubbles...

the dark fish have disappeared..

try zuccinni, it's more beneficial vitamin wise

Ya, the dark fish really do disappear in the picture. Although when you see it in real life, the bubbles actually add a lot of depth, and the fish stand out really well.

As far as zucchini goes, we actually have some in the fridge, because we wanted to try it too. So I guess his next meal will be zucchini! :)

I think everything is dark because of the way the light is and the angle. When I get home I'll try to get a picture from straight on, so you can see more of what it looks like that way.

It's a 48"x18.5"x21.5" (75g) tank. Here's what's in there right now:

3 Hap Mooriis
2 male red top aristochromis (Otopharynx Lithobates)
1 female red top aristochromis
1 hap ahli (tiny)
2 Benga Peacocks (Aulonocara baenschi)
1 Common plec

EDIT:

Here are a couple pics... still a little dark because of the angle, but you can see more of the fish...
