I had to take the photographs in sections because i have a crop factor sensor in my camera. But it will definately give you and idea of what the tank looks like.

Amazing, lovely tank and just what I would like to do. How have you fixed the rocks so they don't fall forward?

I have a undergravel filter in it and i used some petrified wood s the base to stack on. I then started with my widest pieces and stacked to my skinnest pieces. On the first pic you can see where the rock is actually resting on the front of the glass. that also is helping with the stability. As i put the rock work togeather i shaked each piece to make sure it was stable.

No i don't have any slate in there currently i used to have some with fossils in it. The bottom colorful pieces are petrified wood and the rest is lace rock. It is covered with algae now whitch is what i wanted to hide the drab grey look.

nice job im looking to do something simular to my 55 maybe with lava rock and petri,wood....i wanna set it up as some kinda cavern like deal....deep caves and creveses they can getinto...and maybe some live plants...im just worried about the stability and room for fish

Great rock work and nice looking fish. There is one thing I would change though IMO. I think that the gravel layer is too thick, it may look thick because the fish have piled it up in the front of the tank but I cant tell from the pictures if there is a big hole behind the forward pile.

I am aware that you use an under gravel filter in the tank and that a certain amount of gravel is required but I think you might have a bit much. In the majority of your pictures the gravel layer looks to be about 4-5 inches in the front, IMO this will lead to an increase in extra unwanted debris in the tank as substrate cleaning will be more difficult, could possible lead to an excess build up of anaerobic bacteria and it reduces swimming space. Even with an under-gravel filter you should only be using 1-2 inches of substrate and I personally believe that the less substrate in a tank the better!

Regards

They do have it piled up front. I have the ugf pushed to the back and i put rock in front of it so it won't be visable. I vacuum the rock every week during the weekly water change. Those photos are actually right before i did the water change and when i do todays change i'll take some pics and post them.
