i just got my convict a tank mate... well hes more like a jelly bean convict shape but ... i dont know hes weird. hes not big either, only about 4in
well its a 30 gal, 36in long, and the convict, Pinky, would beat up any other fish in there. so he had the whole 30 gal to himself, until i got this fish. its a pike cichlid, im not sure what type, i think its a "belly crawler" pike. well i got the pike from my friend because the pike was very aggressive..(killed some of his fish, and he was restocking the tank).. and it seems so far that they had one little fight to show territory, and the pike won so now he has his own little cave, and pinky has another section with a cave that he would stay in before the pike came. they seem to be leaving eachother alone now though. there is a brown algae problem too, wasnt sure if i could get some type of algae eating fish. so just wondering if this tank mix was a good combination, the pike is about 5 in. the pike looks really cool.
