Hey-
I have a 30 gallon tank with about 12 tatres including pristella, glolight, and silverfin. I also have two small danios. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about any slightly larger, active, hardy fish I could add to my collection to make my tank more lively. My ph is about 7.5 and I am not yet experienced enough on fishkeeping to deal with many of the harder species. Thanks for your replies!

Hi Ashley

What about some gouramis? Pearl are my favourite, active, colourful, quite hardy and large. Nice addition to Community tank. I would also recommend getting some more danios.

Hope this Helps

ahhh geeez a hardy big peacefull i'm asumeing fish you say? that likes harder water? moonlight gourami all the way they can grow 9 inches long and are an amazing white bright color photo's don't do them justice there realy active and they almost glow with good lighting. another good fish would be uhhh angel fish? they come in yellow-black they grow resonably big they are very hardy i find though not very active they swim very slow, if you could some how bring your ph down to about 7.0 I theres about a thousand other fish, most fish prefer slighty asetic water to nutral 7.1-6.8 ish, my tank is full of big interesting fish click on my profile and google some of them, you might get a few idea's.
feel free to ask me anyquestions
oh i almost forgot google giant doanio's they are realy realy realy active and fast and they get a about 5 inches or so not very big but way cooler than the regular danio.
:good:

I thought the Moonlight Gourami only got to 6" max?
How about some Bleeding Heart Tetras, they are a nice fish. And like altselgreen said, Pearl Gourami are a nice fish too.
