Tank Mates For Tiger Barbs

Hi guys I have a 5ft tank I'm setting up as we speak it will be a planted tank and I really like tiger barbs but I know they can be aggressive . What's the best tank mates for them . I will buy around 12-20 tiger barbs to start with .

Hopefully you won't add any fish until your tank is completely cycled. That being said, in a group that large, you really don't need to worry about aggression with the barbs. It's only in smaller numbers that they get nippy. Try to find other barbs or tetras that like the same water conditions and stay about the same size, and then get the same size shoal.

My tank have been running for a long time . I was keeping discus before but decided to go with some more easy to keep fish as I ain't got the time for the discus at the moment as I work longer hours now .

Would neon tetras be ok with the barbs ?

No, I'd not do neon tetras.  Rosy barbs would probably work nicely.

Yeah I wasn't too sure about the tetras to be honest .
