I have a 29gl with a breeding pair of angels (apx 4 yrs old & they've been together since day one), 1 cae, 1 pleco, 2 otos, 2 lamp eye tetras, rainbow eel, and a frog. All of them are very small except for the angels. Maybe it's because the angels are protective, but no one else swims. It's like they are afraid to move. If so, what do you suggest for tank mates? I am looking for something to pick up the slack on the food consumption and swim around unafraid.

they'll chase just about anything away when they're breeding. I have a 30G cube with a breeding pair (lesbians, I'm afraid) with mollies and swordtails, but the tank is heavily planted, so the mollies and swortails cruise around underneath the leaves of the plants.

I just cannot find anything that will swim around. These two run the tank whether they're breeding or not at the time. I have a good clean up crew, but of course they're on the bottom and not much action.

Thanks for the input.

Angels will chase just about anything in a 29 if they are a breeding pair. A breeding tank isn't a show tank, just a few corys & a small bristlenose to clean up is all I would put in a 29 with a breeding pair. If you want to keep a pair in a show tank set up as more of a community tank you will need a larger tank. A 55 or larger works well for this.
