just want to know what kind of fish is good for a tank full of fries?
it a 20 gal... n going to build my own breeding net... so once the baby r born it will drop right into the tank... and i will set up around 3-4 of them with 1:2 male:female in each.
right now i have 2 otto(any1 know how to tell the sex of otto?, i seach everywhere they say the female r rounder then male n male has longer fin... but that not enough info n it hard to tell), 5 ghost shrimps n going to get 4-6 neon tretas to keep the fry moving.... what else i can put it in? i don't want something big... ~2"-3" n won't eat the fry

thnx
well...
the otto r for cleaning
the ghost shrimp r for eating the death fry
the tretas r for keeping them moving

You don't need them to move around. they are ok as they are, lethargic or not. Best not to take risks and cause the fry stress.

A good bottom feeder would be corydoras. They aren't known to eat fry, but I suppose there is still risk.

Also, otocinclus and corydoras need supplements to their diets. They don't "clean up". They need algae, algae wafers, frozen foods, etc.

well i got 2 otto in my 5.5gal... n using gravel... i watch the otto just suck up all the fish waste... they r healthy n growing for some reason... :dunno:
will flying fox be a good idea... cuz i got hair algea on my moss n going to transfer some over
thnx

I would'nt get any type of flying fox. the siamies (sp) type can be very agressive, and the normal plan fox, well mine was a bully, I love him so much but sadly he had to go.

To be honest there nothing, that I can think of that will not eat fry. I have Khulis, Otto's and ADF's in my fry tank, and just raised a second batch of Mettalic Livebearers, with almost 100% suvial rate.

It's just pot luck realy.

Agree definately with above and flying foxes really do fly!! Mine flew clean out of the tank 2 days after buying him. He managed to get out through the gap where the electric cables go. :/
