Tank Lights

Hi All. I have a 125ltr Fluval Tank. How long should Ikeep the lights on per day and should Iattach them to a timer and switch them on/off a few times.

At the moment I have oly artficial plants

Then the best thing to do would be to have the lights on for the shortest period of time possible that will allow you to view them when you are in .

A timer is best since it will be more regular for the fish than having the light going on and off at random times during the day.
I don't know if irregular light would even be anissue for the fishes brains, but I would be kind to the fish and do it just in case .
