I have got a jewel rio 125L tank, its about 3 months old but i don't like the lights.

at night i have 6 adjustable blue LED lights which look fantastic. by day the tank is lit by the standard bulbs, 1 white and 1 with a yellow tint. the tank seems to look yellowie most of the time (its not the water).

are there lights that i can upgrade to that give the tank a brighter crisper look.

thanks for looking :D

Use one Arcadia Original bulb and one Arcadia Freshwater bulb.
Also, I use a proper shiny black backing.

Made a staggering difference to my tank.

Arcadia :( are they the bulbs that would be standard with the tank or do i have to replace them both... any idea on prices :)

thanks for the quick response

To fit the arcadia tubes just take the ones you all ready have out and replace with the arcadia ones. They'll fit, get the 24 inch ones. Heres a link that has prices.

Had the same problem so swapped to Hagen PowerGlo's on both my Juwel's - about £10 per bulb. Got them from aquatics-online .co.uk

Check to see if you already have these bulb fitted is simple enough - they will have Arcadia written on them...

I have marine-glo (came with the tank) and flora-glo : looks great in the evening clear white light with the blue tinge from the marine glo (at the back of the tank so it doesn't overwhelm with the blue) .
