Hi everyone..
I got home from work today and noticed my 20gal tank has sprung a leak on one of the bottom seals...i know it needs to be repaired asap which i hope to do now...my problem is what to do with my fish.. I have a 5gal tank that is cycling so as it stands it isnt the best option... i was wondering if i could take my fluval u2 filter and put it into the 5 gal tank and then put my fish into it until i repair the other tank. i could also add water from my 20gal tank so it is the same water...please help :)

Yes, you can do that; going to a DIY or supermarket and getting a cheap plastic storage box might be a better option, as 5g is a bit small for all your fish.

Buy a plastic storage container. Put the heater and filter in there with your fish. Drain the tank and use only aquarium safe silicone. Some silicons say 24 hours drying others suggest 48.
