 I have seen people place drinking cups in a tank on there side that sometimes looks good. :) Just be careful if its painted or something, you dont want to poisen your fish. Let us know what you do...!

I actually found some old looking ceramic tires from the dollar store and they look really great. They are about 6 inches in diameter. I got three and made a little pile. I will try to get some pics.

man that sounds like a good idea. Might have ato make a trip to the dollar store tomorroe

I found that new terracotta flower pots look good, I didn't have any adverse effects with the water quality. Even broken pieces look ok. You maybe able to get some broken or cracked ones for free at a local hardware store or garden centre :look:

I have a large upturned strawberry pot in my tank (holes in the side) and the fish love swimming in and out of it, especially the clown loach.

That's such a good idea!! I use clay pots in some of my other tanks but I never thought of the strawberry pots! My loachies would LOVE that! I'm there!

Hi stan83 :)

Take care that whatever you get will not trap any of the fish inside. Many fish, such as corys, like to hide in their "caves" and will think the decorations are for that purpose. That is why people use the flower pots. Be sure that any openings are large enough for the fish to get into AND back out of.

If you use the clay flower pots, soak them for a few days in a bucket of water before putting them in your tank.
