Hi folks,

Well my tank is cycled and the plants have really flourished since installing the Nutrafin CO2 system a couple of weeks ago. Now at the stage of wanting to add my fish :D .

The tank is 65 litres (17 UK Gallons) and I was looking into adding these fish:

3 x Cory's (not sure which kind yet)
6 x Tetra's (again, not sure which kind, possibly Neon's)
6 x Danio's or Rasbora's

and I also (if possible) want one/pair as show piece fish to really complete the tank but not sure which would be ideal so hoping some suggestions could be thrown at me :good:

Obviously I won't add these all at the same time. The Cory's and Danio's/Rasbora's would be first and then whatever show piece fish I decide on and lastly the Tetra's as I am aware they are quite sensitive and need the tank to have settled for a number of weeks.

Many thanks for any advice/recommendations.

I dont think you have the swimming space required for danios. Go for the 6 schooling Harelequin rasboras instead. They are less active than danios. Cory wise there are loads of choices. You probably need to go for a pygmy species which vary from 1 - 2". There are pygmaeus, hastatus and habrosus. All schooling I believe but do some google searches to learn more. Tetrawise im not really an expert. Ive seen others quoting glowlights, silver tipped and x-ray tetras as good starters. Black Widows are also good beginner fish but reach 2" each so may be too big.

Centre piece fish. hm. Maybe a honey gourami 2" or thick lipped gourami 4"(Colisa labiosa) or 3 spot gourami 4"

:good:
