ok, which tank would be better for a JD. i can either get a 38 gallon, or a 45 gallon

the 45 gallon is 36 inches in lenght, 12 inches wide, and i think around 23 in height.

the 38 gallon is 40 inches in lenght, 10.6 inches wide, and 20 inches high
